The Creeping Terrors

The Creeping Terrors formed under a different name Dementia No 13 ( after the excellent British horror movie) in late 2013 in London. Founders are Consuelo de La Muerte, bass and vocals and Sieg Ziggurat guitar, vocals and drum machine. After about 6 months the band decided to change name as there is already another metal band called Dementia 13. The new name The Creeping Terrors is after an old low budget American horror movie. Both Consuelo and Sieg were involved in writing music, lyrics, making all the visuals and edit the videos. Sieg decided to leave The Creeping Terrors at the end of 2014 to pursue his career. Consuelo then reformed the band adding two guitars Johanna and Franziska and a drummer Antonia, with a full girls line up. The songs are been modified but the core and style stay the same. Consuelo has previously played in the punk riot grrrls scene with the Italian band Pussy Face also featuring Marzia, current Horror Vacui’s drummer. Johanna is into metal and pure rock. Horror and SCI-FI are the main influence in The Creeping Terrors, especially low budget old movies with a sinister sense of humour. Dark humour is also very important for the band lyrics and sound, it is a strange mix of horror, humour but also a feminist flavour which is not often mixed with the previous. It is very rare to have a band that incorporate horror on a female and feminist point of view. We like to have an aggressive unapologetic sound, fast, short songs and very much full of punk influences. The album line up is now a duo Consuelo bass and vocals and Johanna guitar and vocals, with a drum machine, minimal and violent. We are now expanding the line up with a second guitar and a synthesiser. With one self produced EP ‘Intercourse with the Dead’ in 2016 we are now out with our first album in glorious vinyl and titled ‘Evil Witch Bitch’ Summer 2017, 13 tracks to die for. Mainly playing in Goth/Punk and Death Rock gigs in London such as Dead and Buried and beloved Germany at the Gothic Pogo Party festival and the Minicave Festival. We are mainly singing in English but some Spanish and Italian songs are also added inspired from bands as Naughty Zombies, Los Carniceros del Norte and Eyaculacion Post Mortem but also Californian death rockers like 45 Grave/Penis Flytrap, Catholic Spit and the newest Otzy. It is a strange mix but it is how we feel, goth, horror, humor, feminism, punk all together, join the mosh pit, don’t be afraid to mess up the make up, DEATH ROCK/HORROR PUNK IN THE HEAD, NOT IN THE CORSET! The new line up includes Nathan keyboard and synth from the solo project Special Love, Pete Vincent guitar from Miguel and the Living Dead, Zippo guitar from the HC/Punk Italian scene and myself Consuelo de La Muerte bass and vocal of pure deathrock/horror punk/riot grrrls attitude!
